I'm a recent graduate of the Bloc Web Developer program. I'm a CPA and I was previously working as the accountant for a lot of different tech start-ups in Denver. I greatly admired what these start-ups were doing, taking a new idea and developing a business from scratch with it. I became more and more interested in their projects. What they were doing looked so much more interesting and exciting than my job. They were creating things. So, I decided to make the switch by taking a 6-month online bootcamp through Bloc. I loved every bit of it, especially the back-end, and now I'm eager to get started with my career in web development and start creating.
With any time that I have away from work, I love seeing the world. I can't get enough of the unique landmarks and landscapes. I like mixing it up with different people and cultures, learning new things and how people live in other parts of the world. The excitement of the journey and the unexpected is addicting. Also, the food, definitely can't forget the food.
I love sports, whether it's watching or playing. I just enjoy the competition. I play basketball and volleyball regularly, in leagues and pick-up. I also cheer for the Nuggets, Chiefs, Rockies, Buffs, and Avalanche. Recently, I've enjoyed learning new sports or watching sports in different countries. I recently went to a baseball game in Korea and the games are full productions. They have choreographed cheers, dancers, mcs and singers. It's like no other sporting event I've ever seen.
